New Year, Calmer You?

Couldn't hurt. We're not scientists or chemists here at Bee Raw—we're in this for the taste and the enjoyment of how simple, pure ingredients have the power to change the foods we eat. But, it is encouraging to know that researchers have isolated two compounds in our new chamomile tea that, according to several studies, increase the levels of hippurate (a breakdown product of certain plant-based compounds known as phenolics, some of which have been associated with increased antibacterial activity) and glycine (an amino acid that has been shown to relieve muscle spasms) in the human body.

Calm Down With Chamomile

Why on earth could this matter to you in your busy day? Well, these two compounds are directly related to chamomile's said ability to boost your immuse system and relax and calm you. Now, I don't know about you but I do feel a sense of warmth and calmess after I have a warm cup of chamomile tea. And adding my star thistle honey to it?

Like I often write—we're in this for the sheer pleasure of good tasting foods that compliment your life. But, hey, if it's true that our chamomile tea will take the edge off of your hectic day? Will help you sleep just a bit better because of it's inherent properties? Then I call that a nice bonus.

From our table to yours. Enjoy—Zeke.
