Is Bee Raw Honey Kosher? Kosher Honey FAQ

EarthKosher

Yes indeed. Pure, unadulterated honey is by definition kosher. And Bee Raw's single varietal honeys are all 100 percent real, raw honey. Cheers to kosher honey!

The kosher status of our honey is certified by Rabbi Zushe Blech with EarthKosher, a certification agency that specializes in organic, green and sustainable foods. Scallop Ceviche

scallop

Ceviche is a seafood dish traditional throughout Latin and South America — where seafood is abundant and the weather is hot. The fish is cured by the addition of citrus.  Use only the freshest seafood available. If scallops aren't at the market, halibut or any other firm white-fleshed fish will do. Spanish Pimenton, a pantry staple in our house, gives the ceviche a hint of smoke and dash of color.

Go Ahead, Make Her Day

It wouldn't be Valentine's Day without chocolate. But add honey to that chocolate and this cozy little holiday becomes unforgettable. We suggest marrying our single varietal raw honeys with the bold, single estate & single-origin chocolate from Mast Brothers. Handcrafted in Brooklyn, these chocolates are made from the finest cacao in the world. We sat down with Mast Brothers and did a tasting exploratory and we were all amazed at how the honeys and chocolates melded to bring out the hidden and unexpected flavor notes in each other. Like any great couple, we are wonderful on our own, and we make each other even better.

Here are the first two perfect pairings:

Colorado Sweet Yellow Clover Honey and Madagascar Dark Chocolate
This organic cacao is sourced from a single farm in Madagascar’s northwest coast. With notes of blood orange, raspberry and red wine, Madagascar is heavenly when paired with our Sweet Yellow Clover. The bright and bittersweet chocolate beautifully complements this raw honey’s notes of butter, cinnamon and cardamom, creating a hedonistic indulgence just begging to be shared.

Maine Wild Raspberry Honey and Papua New Guinea Dark Chocolate
While light and floral, our Wild Raspberry Raw Honey also has a natural whisper of cocoa butter. This honey provides the perfect feminine counterpoint to the bold Papua New Guinea dark chocolate with notes of hickory smoked bacon and aged scotch. The combination is incendiary, creating an explosion of raspberry at the finish.

So passionate!—Zeke
